The Core of the Future
Custom Core Industries
Custom Core Industries is a custom packaging supplier of plastic cores. We provide quality cores with competitive pricing, using state of the art equipment. Our primary focus is meeting the delivery demands of a manufacturing environment while maintaining strict quality standards. We provide cores utilized by the slitting industry to wind various widths for any application, as well as cores for many other winding purposes. Our cores are cut to precise dimensions in order to help our customers utilize their equipment in the most efficient manner possible.
Plastic
We have introduced plastic cores into the market to help manufacturers and end users eliminate processing and shipping issues associated with fiber cores, to provide a cost effective alternative to steel and aluminum cores. Plastic cores are competitively priced and in some cases cheaper than special, laminated fibers. Plastic cores are capable of multiple windings, instead of one time use of fiber cores. Although the plastic is initially higher in cost than most fibers, companies using our plastic have realized savings. With the ability for multiple use, eliminating collapse of the core or coil due to fiber breakdown, loss of material on cores due to moisture changes in the fiber, Custom Core has been very popular with end users.
Custom Core's plastic cores are manufactured to very specific O.D. tolerances, which is very important when multiple cores are being wound at the same time. You'll find our manufacturing methods make our cores more uniform than any other plastic core manufacturer. With an established recycling program, cost savings can be had by reducing landfill waste. Plastic cores are an excellent replacement for steel cores. They are considerably lower in cost, lighter in weight, immune to moisture and are capable of multiple windings. Your employees and customers will like the fact that the plastic cores do not get sharp cuts and knicks that can cause abrasions for the workers handling them. Because the cores can be reused, a recycling program can be established similar to what most companies do with their steel cores. However, unlike steel, plastic cores will not rust. We will not claim that our plastic cores equal the tensile strength of steel cores. However, our design and manufacturing methods make our plastic cores much more rigid and durable than most any other plastic cores you will find on the market. We can custom make any I.D. dimension core you may require, with standard I.D.'s in the 6" through 20" range. Width's run from .500 inches on up. We will work with any customer to tailor a core to fit their needs.
